Humble Lion pip Portmore in JPL

A 78th-minute strike from Andrew Vanzie sent the supporters at the Effortville Community Centre into rapture as hosts Humble Lion snatched all three points after a 1-0 win over Portmore United in the Jamaica Premier League.

Vanzie's strike lifts the Clarendon-based Humble Lion to 20 points and currently third in the Jamaica Premier League standings.

Elsewhere, Ajeanie Talbott's 21st-minute goal helped Harbour View to a 1-0 win over Montego Bay United, while goals from Justin Dunn in the 45th and Markland Burton in the 80th minute gave Tivoli Gardens a 2-1 win over Molynes United for whom Jason Wright scored.

The game between Chapleton Maroons and Mount Pleasant was not played as Maroons failed to show for the fixture.
